Intro / methodology statement: Denise works with actors ahead of the shoot to build a dialect from the ground up, then monitors on set for consistency. She is IPA-proficient but works primarily by phonetics in practice, since most actors respond better to it. She collaborates closely with filmmakers across pre-production, production, and post — bringing an actor’s own instinct for when to push a note, and when to let a take stand.
Coaching background: Denise has coached English pronunciation, phrasing, and accent work for actors since 2013, including ongoing work at the Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico, where she coaches actors in English and American English phrasing and pronunciation.
